• Daylight under the door. If you can see light through the gap while the door is closed, the seal is compressed past recovery or torn. The door wasn’t adjusted wrong; the rubber gave out after years of being squashed against the concrete.
• Draft at ankle level. Stand inside the closed garage and hold your hand near the floor. Cold air in winter, hot air in summer. That’s the seal not meeting the floor, and it’s also your utility bill.
